Ampicillin (As Trihydrate)
APERVIN is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by E.coli, Clostridia, Salmonella, Proteus, Corynebacteria,
Brucella, Klebsiella, Staphylococci, Streptococci and Pasteurella.
APERVIN is mainly used for the treatment of necrotic and ulcerative enteritis that affects poultry and other animals. It is also used for the treatment of diarrhea and pulmonary infections in Lambs, Kids, Calves, and Foals.
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: Oral
Mammals: 11-22 mg / kg b.w.
Poultry: 20 mg / kg b.w.
Poultry: 0.5 gm / 1 liter of drinking water daily for 3-5 days.
Lambs, Kids, Calves and Foals: 50-75 mg / kg body weight twice daily for 3-5 days in drinking water or milk.
APERVIN is a semi synthetic broad-spectrum bactericidal penicillin derivative act by inhibition of cell wall synthesis and is rapidly absorbed in the upper part of the intestine. It reaches its highest plasma concentration within two hours and excreted in urine and bile.
