Piglets: 1ml (third day after birth)
Piglets are given 1ml iron dextran for injection by deep intra-muscular injection on the third day after birth. This will ensure an adequate supply of iron for growth until a body weight of approximately 6-7 kg is reached, and until iron intake from supplementary or starter feeds begins. In herds, which are risk of anaemia before the birth of piglets, it is recommended to ensure that the sows have an adequate intake of vitamin E. grown-up swine 5-10 ml per time
Calves: 4-12 ml during the 1st week, if necessary to be repeated at 4 to 6 weeks of age.
