INDICATIONS
CANESTIN-L is indicated for treatment of all infections caused by gram- negative susceptible microorganisms such as : E.coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas, Haemophillus. It is recommended for treatment enteritis and diarrhea in poultry.
DOSAGE
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION : Oral
GENERAL PHARMACOLOGICAL DOSE: 75.000 IU / kg b.w.
Poultry: 50 ml / 200 Liters of drinking water daily for 3-5 days.

DISCRIPTION
Colistin is a bactericidal antibiotic which is highly active against gram- negative bacteria. Colistin belongs to polypeptide antibiotics (polymixins) with a good safety profile. It acts by inhibition of cytoplasmic membrane synthesis. Colistin is poorly absorbed from G.I. tract offering specific advantage in the treatment of G.I. tract infections.
