SULFAX is a combination between Amprolium and Sulphaquinoxaline which acts synergistically against coccidia, also it contains Vitamin K3 which is involved in coagulation of blood.
Amprolium, a pyrimidine derivative has a characteristic efficacy against most species of coccidiosis by preventing coccidia from obtaining the thiamine which is necessary for its development and growth.
SUFLAX is an effective anticoccidial drug acts on the metabolic pathway of the parasite by blocking the p-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), also it posses some antibacterial activity. Sulphaquinoxaline Na is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and produces persistent blood levels.
Vitamin K3 is necessary for the synthesis of prothrombin in the liver, which is required for blood coagulation so preventing hemorrhage
and anemia resulting from coccidia.
